12 ways to wear white jeans in the fall!

How to wear white jeans in the fall

Do you follow the rule of not wearing white jeans after Labor Day?  I used to be a stickler about it but I've recently come to realize that white jeans after Labor Day has quickly become a thing of the past!  Paired with warm tones and cozy sweaters, crisp white denim can really compliment a Fall outfit.  There are endless ways to wear your white jeans well into Fall and Winter and I'm here to show you 12 great examples of how to do it!

12 Ways to Wear White Jeans in the Fall:

White jeans with Over The Knee Boots

Starting off with my absolute favorite outfit of this series, white jeans with Over the Knee boots.  This outfit wins for the most sexy and stunning way to wear white jeans in the fall and I can not wait to replicate this entire look for our next date night!  Aside from that, pairing a pair of crisp white jeans with dark, bold tones like black and camel make for the perfect fall color scheme.  Add in tortoise hoops and you've covered all of your fall bases!

White jeans with a long line cardigan

This look is honestly one of my most worn outfits for fall.  Pairing a long cardigan with a wedge creates the perfect balance for cool autumn weather that not quite ready for closed toed shoes.  This outfit is so versatile and interchangeable being that you can mix and match different cardigans and camisoles to create an endless amount of options within this look.  My lace trim cami is from Abercrombie and is my go to for camisoles.  They always have several color options and are super affordable!

White jeans with a utility jacket

Utility jacket (SimilarSimilar) | Striped top | Loafers | Watch | Earrings

This is a great casual, every day outfit.  Whether you are running errands, headed out to eat or a stay at home mom, throwing on a utility jacket and a stylish loafer is a great way to mix comfort with style.  One thing I love about a great loafer is that it will immediately take an every day outfit to looking a bit more put together!
(My camo utility jacket is a couple years old from Abercrombie.)

White jeans with chambray

Chambray (Old) | Booties (Similar) | Hat

I don't know what fits into your fall wardrobe better than a classic chambray.  This is always one of my go-to's when it comes to the Summer-Fall transition (and even the Winter-Spring one too!).  Pairing your chambray with a fall bootie and camel wide brim hat will warm up your entire look making it perfect for fall.

White jeans with a chunky turtle neck

Turtle neck (Similar) | Bag | Snake skin mules

When the weather begins to cool down, I think we all start to crave the warm sweaters and chunky turtle necks.  This outfit pairs well with pretty much any shoe but I styled it here with an easy, every day snake print mule.  Headed on date night?  Swap them out for a taupe OTK boot to spice things up a bit!

White jeans with a plaid blazer

Plaid blazer (Similar) | Black V neck | Pumps (Similar) | Watch (Similar)

This is how you do business casual with a pair of white jeans!  Maybe your dress code is casual at the office and you want to dress things up a little bit or you might want to feel a little more professional meeting for dinner and drinks.  Adding a clean cut blazer and a sleek patent leather pump takes your white jeans to a sophisticated level.  This plaid blazer by 1State is a great affordable option and one that will go with just about everything!

White jeans with a long duster

Duster (Similar) | White bodysuit | Heels (Similar) | Bag | Earrings

There is something chic and elegant to a duster and this pretty sage green is the perfect compliment to an all white outfit.  A sleek bodysuit and crisp white jeans pair easily with nude accessories creating a neutral fall look.

White jeans with a flannel shirt

I wanted to throw in a couple of casual weekend/everyday looks and a flannel is always a good staple in the Fall.  Whether half tucked or tied around your waist, this is an effortless way to pair a flannel shirt with white jeans.  While I have many plaid flannels in my closet, investing in a good one will last you years.  I love my Rails flannels and although they are a bit pricey, they really are buttery soft with the best color schemes and prints in the market!

White jeans with a poncho or a cape

Camel cape (Similar) | White bodysuit | Heels (Similar) | Watch | Earrings

This is one elegant way to wear white denim in the Fall and I am so here for it!  I took an all white outfit with this bodysuit and paired it with nude pumps to create a simple yet classy outfit.  Throwing on a cape or poncho can really spice up your neutral look in the most tasteful way!

White jeans with a denim jacket

Denim jacket | Shoes | Watch (Similar) | Bag: Louis Vuitton Neverfull

Everyone needs a denim jacket and Fall is one of my favorite times of year to wear mine!  It's the perfect compliment to an every day outfit, easy to throw on and goes with almost anything.  My denim jacket is slightly distressed which makes for such a great casual accessories to a comfortable look.

White jeans with a plaid button down

Button up | Heels (Navy Suede) | Watch

A button down with jeans and a pump is a great way to dress up a casual outfit.  Whether for casual Friday's at the office or an evening out for drinks, this outfit will make you look and feel classy and put together.  The deep toned blues in the plaid shirt paired with navy suede pumps bring a chic fall vibe to your white jeans.  This button up is by one of my favorite brands, Grayson.  It is a female owned company and they most definitely made their shirts with women in mind.  They created a button up shirt that is truly made for the women's body, banishing that awkward boob gap that we all hate!  Loved by both Oprah and Meghan Markle (need I say more?), I was sold the second I tried one on!  I am wearing the style Hero in a size 01.

White jeans with a crew neck sweater

One of favorite outfits that I've worn so far this season!  This look was an overall favorite when I first posted it so I figured I would save the best for last!  Just like the first look with the OTK boots, this color scheme just works.  The warm camel tones mixed with the black and white make for a chic fall outfit!  I have a few of these sweaters in different colors and it is absolutely one of my staple pieces in my Fall and Winter wardrobe.  I paired it here with my most worn shoe, my snake print loafers.

Whew, that was a lot!  If you have made it to the end, thank you and I hope you enjoyed the ways that I shared how to wear you white jeans in the Fall.  I put a lot into this post and I wanted to make it as informative and helpful as possible.  Thank you again for following along here and making all of this possible for me!  I truly love helping others put outfits together and feel more confident not only with what they are wearing but within themselves.

A classic black and white look for the office

I've said this before and I'll say it again, there is nothing more classic than black and white.  Whether paired with a sleek black patent pump or spicing it up with a leopard heel, black and white can go with pretty much anything.  This look is classy and chic but so versatile and comfortable for anyone headed to the office.  For this look, I started with a black dress pant.  A high waisted skinny pant is normally my go to as it usually provides a fitted and more tailored look that makes me feel the most put together.  This pair is one of my favorites and very affordable.  Paired with a light weight sweater and black accessories, this classic look is one that will never go out of style!

The best shoes from Target this season!

ONE | TWO | THREE | FOUR | FIVE | SIX | SEVEN | EIGHT | NINE | TEN | ELEVEN

Target is one of my favorite places to buy shoes.  They are always on trend and often times an exact replica of a higher end shoe at a much better price.  I can't tell you how many great dupes, like the highly coveted Gucci fur lined mules above, I have come across browsing the shoe isles at Target!  From work to weekend, Target has everything you would ever need at affordable prices.

Target Black Suede Block Heel

Full outfit post here

I initially bought these black suede block heels for a wedding that I was in.  We had to walk on grass, gravel and cobblestone during the wedding and all of us girls bought these shoes for the wedding.  They were comfortable and the heel height was perfect for long term wear, which is what we needed.  They are great for both the work place or a night out!  The red suede pair would be stunning during the holidays!

Target Leopard Block Heel

This is the same block heel from above but in the leopard print.  I honestly loved my black suede ones so much that I had to have these too!  I love how the leopard can spice up a neutral outfit in a subtle and chic way.  These are the perfect heels to transition into fall.

Target Suede Loafer

Full outfit post here

I absolutely love these shoes.  They are a Steve Madden Loafer dupe and they are a quarter of the price!  I have both the Target and the Steve Madden Loafers.  They are identical and the Target ones are just as comfortable as the Steve Madden's, if not more!  They are extremely versatile and can go with just about anything.  If you're looking for more of a print, I both the leopard and the snake print that Target has out this fall!

How to dress when it's hot in the fall

This past weekend was a great representation of Fall in Georgia.  One day it's cold, rainy and makes you want to bundle up in front of the fire like you would imagine on a autumn day, only to be immediately followed by highs in the mid 70's and you question whether those brisk fall temperatures are ever going to stick around.  That was us.  Cold and rainy Saturday and by Sunday afternoon we were out wearing shorts, sweating and eating ice cream.
So that got me thinking...

How do you dress when it's hot in the Fall?

One of the best tips I can give is to prepare yourself for both seasons.  It's pretty normal for it to feel like winter in the morning and summer by afternoon around here.  I love to add layers to an outfit so that it's easy to accommodate both.  A sleeveless sweater provides a little bit of warmth with a heavier knit and with a light jacket or cardigan over top, you're all set.

Adding accessories to a Fall outfit

I also love to incorporate fall prints and accessories into my outfits around this time of year with belts, bags and shoes.  While leopard can most definitely be worn year round, it's true time to shine is really in the fall.  Accompanied by warm, rich tones, leopard print is the perfect compliment to bring together any fall outfit.  I added these adorable (and affordable!) leopard block heel to this classic neutral look to give it a trendy pop.  I love how the print of these heels warm up this outfit in a classy and subtle way.  I have these heels in a couple different colors and they are a great height for the office and comfortable too!  PS - they also come in a loafer!

The color you are seeing everywhere this season

There is no mistaking that cognac/camel is everywhere this Fall!  While I am loving all of the rich browns and warm tones, this color really stands out.  One thing that I like to do each season is check out Pantone's Color Trend Report.  This is basically a guide of what color schemes you will see on the runways at NY Fashion Week as well as the upcoming season.  When I saw the 2019/2020 Autumn Winter report, "Sugar Almond" caught my eye and I immediately knew that is would be a trending color!  Flattering on most all skin tones and easily paired with almost everything, I can't help but gravitate towards buying this shade when I see it.
While this cognac sweater can be paired with pretty much anything, I thought it would be fun to show a great way to transition your white jeans from Summer to Fall.  Complementary to both black and white, this color adds a little warmth to a chic look.  Adding the snake skin loafers to pull it all together, this outfit is perfect for a casual office look or even a classic weekend style.

How to arrange your Halloween wall bats

I found these 3D Halloween wall bats a few years ago and we have been decorating with them every year since!  They are always a huge hit here in our house and the kids get really excited when I get them out to decorate.  I can't even remember where I got them from because it was so long ago but this year I decided that it was time to add some new ones!

The arrangement is always the tricky part when it comes to putting the bats up.  It's difficult when you're up close to apply them and then once you take a step back, they don't really look the way you envisioned them.  I set out on Pinterest to get a lot of inspiration on what arrangement I wanted, being that there are so many.  During my install, I came up with a really simple and easy trick to getting the perfect wall bat arrangement!
Here you can see what my console table looks like prior to adding the bats.

How to arrange Halloween wall bats

The trick here is so simple.  Lay out your arrangement with blue painters tape!
Having this as a guideline helped me so much while I was putting my bats up.
After spending a little time gathering inspiration on Pinterest, I decided that I wanted my bats to look like they were coming out of one spot and dispersing.  I wanted them to gradually get bigger into a funnel type shape so that's what I laid out with the blue tape.  While I was laying out my tape guide, I stepped back a few times to check on the shape until I was happy with how it looked.

5 tips to arranging your wall bats

1. Start small

Wherever you have your bats starting, start with the smallest bats and gradually get bigger as your funnel grows.

2. Space the bats out

This one took me a little while to get them hang of!  I kept putting them close together and once I went back to my Pinterest inspo, I realized that spread out definitely looks better.

3. Create a flow

I like for my bats to all go in the same general direction but alternating the direction of the individual bats will create a nice movement within your flow of bats.  It helps to break things up a bit!

4. Use blue tape

I know I said above to use the blue tape as a guide in your arrangement but I also used it over the little stickies when I applied them to the wall.  The little stickies that come with the bats are really sticky and this limited me in moving my bats around until I had them where I wanted them.  The blue tape worked just as well and was much easier to remove and/or move around.  Besides, if you want to use these again for several years you will definitely use up all of your sticky squares that they come with.

5. Step back.  A LOT!

I can't stress this one enough!  I had to stop and stand back several times to see how things were looking.  I made several tweaks along the way and taking a second to step back will help with getting a good look at the big picture and make adjustments before getting too far in!
