White Chocolate Banana Pudding

For my birthday this year I was really wanting something other than the usual cake and ice cream.  I am normally a Carrot Cake or German Chocolate kind of girl but one of my favorite desserts is a decadent Banana Pudding.  Rich and smooth, this dessert is one that I can rarely ever pass up.  Aside from the cold banana pudding and softened vanilla wafers, I was also craving a rich and buttery graham cracker crust.  While traditional banana pudding doesn't have a crust, I set out to come up with something that would satisfy all of my cravings.
I came across many different variations for both Banana Pudding and Banana Cream Pie while researching recipes.  Anything white chocolate always jumps out at me so I knew that had to be incorporated.  Seeing delicious recipes with the most mouthwatering pictures made me realize that I wanted a little bit of everything in this dish!  I started with a traditional graham cracker crust, using a simple and very easy recipe that I found.  Crushed graham crackers, sugar and butter holding it all together is the base of my White Chocolate Banana pudding.  Lining sliced bananas right on top of the crust and layering pudding and Nilla Wafers made for a simple yet delicious dessert!

How to Make White Chocolate Banana Pudding

Ingredients:

For the Graham Cracker Crust

2 cups Graham Cracker crumbs
1/8 cup Brown Sugar
1/8 cup White sugar
6 Tbsp Butter

For the Banana Pudding

2 Boxes of White Chocolate Pudding
1 Can Sweetened Condensed Milk
1 tub of Cool Whip
Nilla Wafers
6 Ripe Bananas, sliced

Easy Graham Cracker Crust

This is a very quick and easy Graham Cracker crust recipe.  For this White Chocolate Banana Pudding recipe, I used this 9' x 13' dish.  It makes a bit more than the normal pie dish amount making it perfect for entertaining!


Step 1

Crush the graham crackers until you have 2 cups.  This food processor works amazing and is so much easier!

Step 2

Mix in both white and brown sugar, making sure it is fully combined.  Add melted butter and stir until you reach a sand like consistency.

Step 3

Press mixture into baking dish until you have a flat surface.  Chill in the refrigerator until while you are making the pudding.

White Chocolate Banana Pudding

Step 1

Mix white chocolate pudding as instructed on the back of the box.  Add in Condensed Milk and Cool Whip, stirring until combined throughout.

Step 2

Line your baking dish with a layer of sliced bananas, placing them right on top of the graham cracker crust.  (Shown in picture above.)  With a traditional Banana Pudding recipe, you would start with a layer of Nilla Wafers but because I added the graham cracker crust, this way seemed like the right thing to do.


Step 3

 Add a layer of pudding, about half, covering the bananas completely.  Next add a layer of Nilla Wafers followed by the remainder of the White Chocolate Pudding.  Garnish the top with crushed Nilla Wafers.



I like mine best served the next day.  It gives the favor a chance to really set in and combine.  I usually make my pudding recipes the night before and serve them chilled the following day.  I have linked everything I used on Amazon for easy shopping.  I would love to hear how yours turned out!
