They said not to blink

I've heard it so many times when it comes to raising your kids.  Everyone says not to blink because it will fly right by.  Here I am, feeling beyond overjoyed with where we are today but also a bit emotional as I've come to realize the truth in how fast it really does go by.  Loyal graduated preschool yesterday and while I am aware that this is the
first of many big milestones to come, we are feeling all of the feels with this one.  I remember our very first day of preschool.  He was 2 at the time and watching him walk ever so bravely into his class on that first day, without ever looking back, left me with tears in my eyes and an overwhelming feeling of pride for him.  This morning was somewhat of the same except multiplied as I watched him bravely walk down the isle in his cap and gown just beaming with pride.  We made eye contact for a brief moment before he passed in front of me and in that moment, his eyes lit up and his mouth curled into the sideways smile that he's always given me.  I saw my baby, my first born, growing up right before my eyes and the pride I felt on that first day of preschool could not ever compare to this.
Yesterday we celebrated Loyal and this big accomplishment!  I can not tell you how proud I am of this sweet boy and the person he has become.  He has such an amazing and kind spirit to him.   He loves his family more than anything and is the best big brother any sibling could ever ask for.  He continues to amaze me every day and I can't wait to see what else he has in store for us. :)
