Easter Tablescape

This year we are hosting Easter dinner at our house for my parents and my in-laws.  I have never done a big tablescape for my mom or my in-laws so I knew that I wanted to make this one really special.  When I started brainstorming what I wanted for my Easter table, I knew that I wanted to bring in a lot of color.  I had Easter pastels

See the line where the sky meets the sea, it calls me

Our trip to the beach last week was Callie's first time in the sand where she wasn't actually sleeping in a baby beach tent.  Unsure of what to expect with her since this age can be a little tricky, we went down feeling positive that she would play right along side her brothers.  She seemed a little unsure about the sand at first, pulling her feet up when

How I got bikini ready in 6 weeks

Once we had our annual girls beach trip booked, I knew I wanted to get back in shape.  After slacking quite a bit over Christmas and the New Year, it was time to really buckle down.  By combining diet and 2 exercise programs, I saw great results in just 6 weeks.  One of the biggest changes that I made was cleaning up my diet significantly.  I cut out

Our annual girls trip to Seaside

Last week we went on our 5th annual girls trip to Seaside, Florida.   My girlfriends and I met 10 years ago (10!) where we all worked together.  The 5 of us have maintained such a close friendship over the last 10 years and have all had our babies around the same time as each other.  As our families grow, we don't see each other as often as we

Black is the new bikini

We are down in Seaside for our annual girls trip and the water this year seems so much more crystal blue than any other year.  It is truly stunning!  The weather has been a little cold and windy since we got here but we finally got a beach day in yesterday and we had such a great time!  I posted this bikini on Instagram and love it so much that I

A throwback to Seaside 2017

Last year we did our annual girls & babies trip to Seaside, Florida.  The first year we went Loyal and Lexi were 11 months old and it is so sweet to see them grow through pictures each year.  We have added 5 more babies to our group since that first year and it is pure chaos!    As I was getting ready for our trip this year, I realized that I never

Everything I eat to stay in shape

Hi friends!  I would say that one of the most asked questions that I get is about my diet and exercise routine.  I post a lot about making heathy choices with my diet and eating clean while I maintain a good workout routine.  As I have gotten older, I have come to realize that I have had to really clean up my diet and keep the splurging to a

Bittersweet, Part II: An emotional end to breastfeeding

I still remember sitting down to write my last Bittersweet post almost 4 years ago, reflecting on the struggles that come with the end of nursing.  It was a feeling full of emotion, treading into the new territory of a routine without breastmilk.  There is really no other way for me to describe it than "bittersweet."  For a year, with each of my
