Our Fourth of July

It's been a while since we've done anything for the Fourth.  The past couple of years we've either been pregnant or had a new baby or just didn't have the energy to make it until fireworks.  So needless to say, we were pretty excited for this one and for little Loyal to see fireworks for the first time!  We went to a park near our house that puts on a big show, has food trucks and a bunch of stuff for kids.  Loyal had a blast!
^ This was right before the fireworks when we realized that we hadn't taken a group picture.  Poor little Loyal played so hard that he was fading fast at this point.  We tried so hard to keep him awake so he could see the fireworks but, no such luck.  They both slept right through the entire show!

My Birthday ~ Pt 2

I celebrated my birthday with my family a couple weekends ago.  I initially wanted to go out to a nice dinner, just me and Loyal, but when it came down to it, I opted for pizza at the park instead.  I am so glad I went with this because it ended up being a really great night. As much as I always wish for a break from the kids, I loved spending this with them too.  My sister joined us for pizza and oh my, it was incredible!  We actually ended up ordering a second one because we devoured the first one so fast!  Loyal and Roman had so much fun running around with the other kids and babies.  Big thanks to the hubs for chasing Lo around so that I could hang out with my sister.  AND a big thanks to her for getting me in a few pics for a change, haha!
And in case you were wondering how difficult it is to get a toddler to take a picture with you...
One huge cranky/hangry meltdown wrapped up our night thanks to a certain someone who chose to play straight through dinner.

My Birthday ~ Pt 1

This year for my birthday, I got together with some of my very best girlfriends for a family dinner.  We all try to get together about once a month or so and that usually ends up being around some sort of celebration.  It was such a great evening with all of them.  Kids running around, baby bumps being rubbed, food being devoured, all of it!  And hey! How about that picture above?! These group shots seem to get better and better every year!
And this one ^ after every picture, "Ta-daa!"
