This past Thursday was my birthday and I turned the big 3-0!  I had planned for the day of my actual birthday to just be really relaxing and go really smoothly.  Little did I know, all of my plans would change throughout the day.  I wanted Krispy Kreme and due to a parking lot melt down leaving the grocery store, we went home instead.  I wanted to go to the pool and grey clouds ruined that idea.  I went to pick up my dress from alterations that I bought for dinner that night only to find out that at almost 2 hours after the pick up time, it had not yet been started on.  Finally, I just decided to put Lo down for a nap and finish my birthday cake.  That's when my sister walked in the door to surprise me with some beautiful flowers!!!  It totally turned my day of doing nothing into running around with Kel, which was much needed.
Tulips always brighten the day!

Loyal and I went to dinner with friends (sans baby) and had such a great time!  It's nice to get dressed up every once in awhile for a night out like the old days. (The dress ended up working out, fyi).  It's funny how things end up sometimes.  I remember 2 years ago saying that I wanted to do something really fun for my 30th, like go to Vegas with all my friends or something.  That was definitely out of the question now that I'm pregnant.  And not to mention, after one night of staying up until 1 a.m. and I could barely make it out of bed the next day!  Anyway, a nice low-key dinner was just perfect.

The next morning I was still a little bummed about the donuts and feeling hungover from lack of sleep, me and the babe went straight to Waffle House.  For some reason I had been craving a waffle so bad and this one really hit the spot, I'm not even going to lie!

I continued my birthday celebration throughout the entire weekend because you only turn 30 once.  I had cake and ice cream every night.  An ice cream cone for lunch.  Popsicles.  Ice cream cookie sandwich.  You name it.
Now that it's Monday, I woke up in a slight panic.  Party's over and reality has set in.  I just turned 30 and I'm half way through my pregnancy.  I haven't worked out at all so I hit the gym first thing this morning.  I was feeling good and really motivated.  I got about 8 minutes in on the elliptical when the nursery called.  Poor little Lo was hysterical. :(  It kinda broke my heart a little so I will instead be searching Pinterest for at home work outs to pin but not actually doing them because you know, that's basically the same.
Cheers to 30!

  1. Happy belated birthday! Okay, so weird, but throughout my entire pregnancy I have craved breakfast foods, and I swear Waffle House got me through a solid month or two in the beginning!

    1. haha too funny! I just couldn't resist that waffle any longer!
