4th of July in New Orleans

Hello!  I guess I am now realizing that I haven't blogged in a while.  We have been super busy lately and somehow found a couple days off to go down to New Orleans.  My husbands family hasn't seen the babe since the hospital so they were beyond excited and we haven't seen our house since the day we put an offer in so were thrilled!  From Thursday through Sunday we had people to see, places to be and a baby to open our eyes to our very unfamiliar new way of traveling.  Gone are the days of just winging it and going with the flow.  Rule #1: don't steer away from the schedule.  The drive down took 9 hours instead of the usual 6, thanks to stopping every 2 hours to feed a baby that missed the memo that it was lunch time rather than play time.  Aside from that, poor little man was just a little out of his element but by the last day, he was back to normal.  Great timing right?!  Anyway, we had a good trip, meltdowns included. :)
4th of July:
I remember finding this little number at Marshal's back in New Jersey.  I sent a picture to Loyal and my sister and we were all 3 so pumped about him wearing it for the 4th.
Nailed it!
We didn't do much for the 4th this year.  We went to my sister-in-law's, hung out with family and listened to one serious meltdown.  After that we went home because it was time to put the little one to bed.  I gave him a bath and while I nursed him, I listened to fireworks and a good time off in the distance.  Boo, maybe next year.
For the rest of the trip we hung out with family and friends.  We went and saw our sweet little house where we wanted to just stay forever.  Instead, we took a million pictures, ran through so many ideas and gave a sad goodbye until next time.  Thanks to yet another meltdown, I didn't even get a picture with the baby in his nursery.  Bummer.  What I did get is a lot of measurements!  Let the planning begin!!!
This is the street our house is on.  I am in love with the way the trees hang over the street.  I remember the first time we turned down that street to go and see the house while we were house-hunting.  It just felt so right, before we even saw the house.
So much driving around and this little babe did great.
{In the car that is}
His face here.  I die!
Well that's all I have time for today.  Back to the bumbo we go!
