week 33: honeydew

march 9 - march 15, 2013
Week 33
I am so happy to be back in Atlanta.  It's great to be with family again.  Everyone was so excited to see us and see how much my belly has grown since the last time I saw everyone.  I am beyond excited to finally be able to spend time with family and friends, but we have so much to do before the baby gets here.  I feel like I am behind with everything, hence the lack of picture this week.  Needless to say, I am beginning to feel very overwhelmed again.
Me, Loyal and my sister went to dinner with some friends on Sunday night.  It was so great to see everyone, especially with Loyal there.  All the girls were so happy to love on my baby bump.  They rubbed my belly and talked to the baby and even sang him the alphabet, along with a few other songs.  It was the sweetest!

Monday and Tuesday were super busy days for us.  We had doctor's appointments on both days and Monday night was the first of three classes we signed up for at the hospital.  The doctor's visit on Monday was just a normal check up.  I asked the doctor about the rib pain I had been having, which she said was normal.  Other than that, everything was good!
Total weight gain: 18 lbs
(4 lbs since last appointment)
Monday night we went to our first class at the hospital.  We didn't really know what to expect before we went but it actually turned out to be far better than we expected.  This particular class was all about what to expect at the hospital, what to bring and what they provide.  I had done some research previous to the class on what to pack in my hospital bag but it was great to know what they suggest based on how they do things.  Being that every hospital is different, this was something I never even thought to consider.
After the class, we went on a tour of the maternity wing.  We saw the room that we will deliver in and the room they move you to after you deliver.  I thought I would be nervous but I wasn't at all.  I actually felt really comfortable.  We were both very pleased with the class and seeing the maternity wing at the hospital definitely made everything seem so much more real.

week 32: back in atlanta

march 2 - march 8, 2013
Week 32
The baby is getting so much bigger every week. I can actually see my stomach move when he is moving around.  It's crazy!  I see my belly move a lot when I am looking down at my computer.  I love it.
This week is completely devoted to getting home.  There is a winter storm moving in and it's a race against the clock to get out of New Jersey before it hits.  The last thing we want is to get stuck here when we are so close to finally being home.  We are trying to be back in Georgia by Friday because we have doctor's appointments on both Monday and Tuesday.
Everything went just the way we planned.  Loyal was done with work on Wednesday afternoon and at 6 a.m. on Thursday morning, we were officially headed home.  Luckily, the first snowflakes from the winter storm started falling as soon as we got in the car.  The trip took us a day and half but booooooyyy did it feel good to finally be home!!!

week 31: lettuce

well it's been exactly a month since i've blogged last and i am now beginning my very long process of catching up again.  needless to say, i've been so busy lately.  busy and overwhelmed.  although i have completely abandoned my blog, i have at least kept up with my journal so that should make it easier.  here goes...
february 23 - march 1, 2013
Week 31
This week I have started to feel tired and lazy again, much like in my first trimester.  I have read that the exhaustion comes back so I knew it was only a matter of time before I started feeling it.  I definitely don't have as much energy or motivation to do the day to day things that I have been doing.  The baby moves so much now.  When I wake up in the middle of the night to roll over, I feel him roll over too...or at least that's what I think he's doing.
this was the week that i got the call that i didn't pass the 3 hour glucose test.  i will do an update post on that as soon as i get caught up with my weekly posts.  once we found out that i didn't pass and would have to go to more doctor's appointments on top of my regular visits, we decided it was time to move home.
