baby on the way, yay!!!

i don't even know where to begin!  we are beyond excited and so relieved to finally share the news with everyone!

i love the way our announcement turned out, but...i had other plans for our picture.  for starters, i wanted both of us to be in the pic.  my sister was taking it and we didn't have much time because she was at work.  we tried and tried...different angles, different poses, different spots...nothing was working.  the only thing that was working was the appetite we both worked up taking all of the bad pics.  so, we took a time out and went next door for some tacos.  that seemed to be the trick.  once we were finished my belly was big and full, i rearranged the set-up, tried one last time and we nailed it in basically the first try.  looking back, this was a much better idea than the initial plan.
(just took some tacos to figure that out!)

i even love the unedited pic before i cropped it

i have so much i want to share with everyone about our pregnancy journey.  i am 13 weeks today so getting caught up may take a little while.  as for now...

from dallas to atlanta

before i start, i would like to acknowledge that i am very aware that i have not posted in almost 2 months now.  i have had a world of things going on the past 2 months that i am about to begin explaining, the rest will have to be split into another post, which is soon to come!

monday, september 24, 2012:
our 2nd wedding anniversary

we decided to celebrate with our favorites...starbucks, shopping, maggiano's (our all-time fav) and a few pics along the way.

this particular monday also marked exactly one week before we left dallas.

loyal has been in dallas for the past year and a half working on hail claims for the endless amount of storms in the dallas area. endless seemed to be a very appropriate description, until now.  the claims eventually ran out and in that case, the adjusters are finished in that particular area.  to be honest, we really didn't see this one coming.  every time claims got close to running out we would have yet another storm that brought more hail which, in return, brought more claims.  but, sadly, our time here was up.  we went back and forth about what to do...stay in dallas, go to new orleans or go back to atlanta.  we decided on atlanta.  we also decided to buy an rv.  i was super pumped but loyal, not so much.  i think it's such a great idea.  we can use it to travel. if we want to go to new orleans for 2 weeks over christmas WITH the dogs, we can.  next time we go on the road we can stay in this rather than in a hotel or extremely expensive month-to-month apartments.  so, in a week we celebrated our anniversary, ate at all of our favorite dallas restaurants, bought the rv, packed up everything we had and hit the road.  but first!  we had to eat at our fav pizza place one last time.  this was the very first place we ate together in dallas and now the very last place we ate before we left.

after that, it was back to atlanta.  we were honestly so happy to be back to see friends and family that we hadn't seen in so long.  as for right now we will be staying in atlanta for a while until we get called somewhere else.

as most of you already know, we made the big announcement that we are expecting!!!  i have a ton of posts in the works so you will have to check back!
